How it works
The U.S. Embassies are selling surplus property via a Web Based Electronic Auction. Each auction will be activated for a period of time clearly stating the start and end date. This information is available on the information panel of the web application. During this period you can actively take part and submit your bid for the surplus property.
Maximum number of bids on one item is stated at each item. Increasing your bids is possible only in the local currency name. During the auction you should monitor your bids, so you can react on all bids price development.
Email for winners will consist the link to the auction application where you can review your items, after successful login.
The Embassy unconditionally reserves the right to refuse any bid.
The final payment in local currency (Ukrainian Hrivnya) should be made within (3) three working days to the US Embassy bank account after notification to the successful bidder. Your bank transfer receipt will acknowledge proof of purchase and you will receive the original certified bill of sale based on such proof.
The winners must pick up ALL lots won.
Those winners who are unable to pay for their lots and to pick up winning items in a timely manner could be denied participating in upcoming government property sales.
All sales will be in Ukrainian Hryvnyas. The Embassy unconditionally reserves the right to refuse any bid. All Lots are being sold “as is, where is. Returns/exchange is not accepted; this auction is non-refundable.

All sales will be in Ukrainian Hryvnia. The Embassy reserves unconditionally the right to refuse any bid. All subject vehicles are being sold “as is, where is,” and were temporarily imported into Ukraine, they are not customs cleared and have no expressed or implied warranties for the condition of the vehicles. Vehicles will be available for viewing from 1000 to 1300 on November 23 at the cargo zone of the Embassy, entrance from Zhambyla Zhabaeva Street.
Successful bidders should understand they are responsible for paying any applicable customs duties, taxes, and associated customs brokerage services fees for the motor vehicle transfer procedures. A list of all winning bidders will be provided – by request – to the Ukrainian Tax Authority.
No later than Thursday, November 28, 2024, successful bidders must pay for their vehicles online or through a teller at any commercial bank. Payments through collection boxes are not accepted. The bank transfer receipt will acknowledge proof of purchase and bidders will receive the original certified bill of sale when proof is provided.
The motor vehicles will be released to successful bidders within 4-6 weeks once all local MFA, customs, and tax requirements are met and completed. The US Embassy will pay any associated de-registration and towing service fees, if required, to clear Embassy diplomatic license plates and registration. Please be advised the Embassy will cover towing services only to the point where the motor vehicle will receive its final de-registration status.
Payment
Payment for your items is possible only by bank money transfer to the Embassy bank account:
In case you have bid and won more than one item, you can pay the total amount due of all items in one payment, but all lot items must be identified as described in the item 1 above. Items can be retrieved only when successful payment has been received. The receipt of payment is considered complete when money reaches the U.S. Embassy bank account.
Note:
It could take more than one day to transfer money from your bank account. Please make your payments ahead, at least 2 bank days prior a scheduled pickup day, as it will not be possible to pick up the items if your payment is not indicated on the U.S. Embassy bank account.
To transfer 5000.00 UAH in cash and more (under 400,000.00 UAH) in a bank department, a sender should present his passport and the Individual tax number.

Pickup
A winner can receive his/her items on a scheduled pickup day. A winner must pay and pick up ALL won lots. Please note that to retrieve the items, the Embassy bank account should be credited with the respective payment before the scheduled pickup day (to ensure this, please make your payments no later than 2 bank days before a scheduled pickup day).
Any paid items that are not picked up during the scheduled time frame will be disposed of and no longer available for pick up.
After successful confirmation of payment for your items, our staff will move your items out to the front of the warehouse building. From that moment, you are the owner of your merchandise. You will have the full responsibility for subsequent handling procedures and removal from Embassy property in a timely manner. If items are not removed in a timely manner, then they may be considered abandoned and will be disposed.
Those winners who are unable to pay for their lots and to pick up winning items in a timely manner could be denied participating in upcoming government property sales.
