US EMBASSY AUCTION - SEALED BID SALE RULES

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY and FOLLOW STRICTLY

Bids will be accepted only from 9:00AM until 4:00PM, with a lunch break between 12:00-12:45, on the day of the auction.

A 20% deposit will be required upon submission of sealed bid on the total amount you will be submitting on each lot you wish to bid on. Bids will not be accepted without a proper deposit.  No bid(s) will be amended, canceled, or changed after submission.

The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject any old, damaged or worn currency, as well as payment in coin.  We also reserve the right to reject any or all bids, or to withdraw bids from sale at any time, including after bids have been submitted.

Use the Sealed Bid Sale Ballot form, available from the auction site, to register your bid. You may bid on any number of items by lot.

Bids must be submitted to the Embassy officials at the bidding window located at Embassy Compound Main CAC on the Benson Street entrance.  Please do not give bids or deposits to anyone other than the Embassy officials at the bidding window.

Fill in the bidder form with required information and the amount you wish to bid.  The deposit amount will be entered when submitting your Sealed Bid Ballot.

All bids must be in United States dollars (US$).  No checks, traveler’s checks or Liberian dollars will be accepted.

This is a sealed bid sale.  Do not reveal your bid to other competing bidder(s).

Removal of items is the buyer’s responsibility and at his/her expense. All items in a lot must be removed—no partial lots will be sold, and no items may be left behind from a lot.

A successful bidder must pay in full for all lots won and collect all lots; no bids may be split after a successful bid.  For example, if a bidder wins lot #1 and lot #2, the bidder may not elect to purchase lot #1 but reject lot #2.  The bidder must pay in full for both winning lots and collect both winning lots, or else reject both lots.

Rejecting a winning bid or failing to pay in full after being announced as a winning bidder will result in forfeiture of deposit for each rejected lot.  If you refuse to take the lot after winning the bid, you forfeit all deposits rendered and will no longer be allowed to bid in US Embassy Auctions.

The 20% deposit will not be returned once a winner has been notified and advised to make the balance deposit of the 80% to the bank.

Examine lots carefully against the auction catalogue.  Any discrepancies must be noted prior to submission of the bid.

Please inspect ALL items you desire to bid on carefully. All items are sold “as is-where is”.

The highest bid for a lot wins.  Winners will be contacted and informed on the status of their bid submission by telephone from the telephone number written on their bid submission.

THANKS FOR PARTICIPATING AND GOOD LUCK!!!
