How it works

The US Embassy Baku is selling secondhand computer/telecommunications equipment ,office furniture, VEHICLE  and miscellaneous items via a web based Electronic Auction. To join the auction, please click on the link https://online-auction.state.gov/and register to create a new account. Once you have created an account, you will receive an email to confirm your account.

The auction will only be active starting Monday , September 8, 2025 at 10:00 am and closing on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 12:00 pm. During this period, you can actively take part and submit your bids for the surplus property. 

The maximum number of bids on one item is stated for each item. Increasing your bids is possible only in the local currency (AZN). During the auction you should monitor your bids so you can react to all bid price increases.

An email will be sent to the winners of each bid and will consist of a link to the auction application where you can review your items.

All items are sold in ''AS-IS“ condition with no right of return or replacement and warranty.

If successful bidder refuses to pay the purchase price, he/she may lose the right to participate in all current and future auctions and the person next in line will be contacted as the winner.

Furthermore, if you are the winner for any lots but later choose to decline your bid ,please note that all your other offers on any additional lots will be disregarded as well .

As the customs duties of the vehicles and trailer are not paid , the winning bidders are responsible for paying the Custom Duties.

Bidders must be 18 years or older to place bids.

You are not allowed to place further bids to increase the price of the lot if your last bid is currently the highest.

NOTEThe U.S Embassy reserves the right to remove any item from auction.

How to pay

The payment for all items must be made on Thursday, September 11.2025 from 10:00-12:00 PM. Payment will be accepted by the Embassy cashier at US Embassy Baku (Landmark building 1, Nizami street 96 ) 

The payment must be made only in CASH with Azerbaijani Manat (AZN)

Successful bidder will need to present a valid ID with a picture.                                                                                                                           

Important: Please do not place bids on any lots that you do not want to purchase and pick up.

How to pick up

The sold secondhand computer/telecommunications equipment ,office furniture, VEHICLE and miscellaneous items can be picked up only when successful payment has been received.

From that time on, the winner is the owner of the lots . The winner will have full responsibility for subsequent handling and removal of the items as well as will be responsible for any possible costs associated with the requirements of customs and/or tax authorities.

The lots should be picked up on SaturdaySeptember 13 and Sunday, September 14 ,from 10:00 pm am till 16:00 pm .

The lot# 56, 57 and 58 may be picked up on Friday , September 12 from 10:00 pm am till 16:00 pm .

The lots will be issued from Embassy warehouse ( Mammadsharif Hamidov 51) and Landmark, Building 1( Nizami street 96).

The Vehicle and trailer will be issued once all customs fees paid and deregistration process complete at state traffic police.

Winners should bring the payment receipt and ID

Please note that the pick up dates may be adjusted due to the Formula 1 race taking place in the area which may result in the traffic restrictions and limited access.

Any items that are not paid and picked up during the scheduled time frame will remain Embassy property.  The winning bidder will forfeit their ownership rights and there will be no possibility for retrieval of the item.
