How it works

The US Embassy Baku is selling secondhand computer/telecommunications equipment, household furniture, vehicle and miscellaneous items via a web based Electronic Auction. To join the auction, please click on the link https://online-auction.state.gov/and register to create a new account. Once you have created an account, you will receive an email to confirm your account.

The auction will start Monday, April 20, 2026 at 10:00 am and close on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 12:00 pm. During this period, you can actively take part and submit your bids for the surplus property. 

Increasing your bids is possible only in the local currency (AZN). During the auction you should monitor your bids so you can react to all bid price increases.

An email will be sent to the winners of each bid and will consist of a link to the auction application where you can review your items.

All items are sold in ''AS-IS“ condition with no right of return, replacement or warranty.

If the successful bidder refuses to pay the purchase price, he/she may lose the right to participate in all future auctions and the person next in line will be contacted as the winner.

Furthermore, if you are the winner for any lots but later choose to decline your bid ,please note that all your other offers on any additional lots will be disregarded as well . 

As the customs duties of the vehicle is not paid , the winning bidders are responsible for paying the Customs Duties.

Artificial price manipulation is strictly prohibited. All bids will be subjected to review and verification.If a bidder places a bid on a lot , they should be prepared to complete the purchase.

Bidders must be 18 years or older to place bids.

You are not allowed to place further bids to increase the price of the lot if your last bid is currently the highest.

NOTEThe U.S . Embassy reserves the right to remove any item from the auction.

The payment for all items must be made on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 10:00-12:00 PM. Payment will be accepted by the Embassy cashier at the U.S. Embassy Baku (Landmark building 1, Nizami street 96 ) 

The payment must be made only in CASH with Azerbaijani Manat (AZN)

Successful bidder will need to present a valid ID with a picture.                                                                                                                           

Important: Please do not place bids on any lots that you do not want to purchase and pick up.

How to pick up

The secondhand computer/telecommunications equipment, household furniture, vehicle and miscellaneous items can be picked up only when successful payment has been received.

From that time on, the winner is the owner of the lots . The winner will have full responsibility for subsequent handling and removal of the items, any possible costs associated with the requirements of customs and/or tax authorities.

The lots should be picked up on ThursdayApril 23 from 13:00 pm am untill 16:00 pm and Friday, April 24,from 10:00 pm am till 16:00 pm .

The pick up location is the  Embassy warehouse ( Mammadsharif Hamidov 51) .

The guard booth will be issued from the main Embassy compound ( Azadlig avenue 111 ), the winner is responsible for entire guard booth pick up processes.

The Vehicle will be issued once all customs fees are paid and the deregistration process at state traffic police is complete.

Winners must bring the payment receipt and photo with ID.

Any items that are not paid for and picked up during the scheduled time frame will remain Embassy property.  The winning bidder will forfeit their ownership rights and there will be no possibility for retrieval of the item.

In very special cases only, the date and time can be changed by contacting the auction manager.
