How it works
The U.S. Embassy is selling surplus movable property (SMP) via a Web Based Electronic Auction. Property is sold on an as-is, where-is, nonreturnable basis for cash payment without refund or warranty by the US Government. The US Government does not guarantee the state or condition of any of the items for sale. The buyer is responsible for assessing the condition of the property BEFORE bidding. All payments must be made within TWO WORKING DAYS following the end of the Auction Sale. Customs Duty: The winning bidder is required to pay customs duty and any related taxes to the Cameroonian authorities before removing the property from the embassy compound. Property must be picked up from the embassy no later than one week from the date of payment. Any wining bidder who fails to pick his/her property, one week after payment will forfeit the property without any reimbursement of the amount paid.
Maximum number of bids on one item is stated at each item. Increasing your bids is possible only in the local currency name. During the auction you should monitor your bids so you can react on all bids price development.

Nonrefundable payment shall be by cash only in local currency CFA Frances, to the US Embassy cashier. All payments must be made within TWO WORKING DAYS following the end of the Auction Sale.
Upon payment for the Lots the winner shall be allowed to pick up the items provided he/she shows proof of payment of custom duties and any other applicable local tax to the Cameroon government. Winners will be required to pick up not later than one week after payment. Lots not picked up by that date will be considered abandoned and shall be disposed of.
