Each auction will be open for a period of 1 week with a clearly stated start and end date.  Prior to the start of the auction, you can browse the lots online, but you cannot place a bid.  Usually auctions will start on a weekday and will be active for at least 7 days. During this period, the auction is live and active 24 hours per day, every day.  At any time while the auction is active, you may submit your bid for the lots that are put in the Auction.  To bid on any lots, you must register on the website, and login on subsequent visits, and you must abide by the requirements and regulations set forth on the website.

Each lot may have a minimum and maximum amount that bids can be raised.  All bidding will be done in Djiboutian Francs (DF) only.

During the auction you should watch the progress of your bids so you can take action if somebody outbids you and you want to post a higher bid.  Please pay close attention to when the auction is going to end.

The person with the highest bid at the end of the auction is the winner of the lot. It is important that you add a local phone number, otherwise you will be cancelled from the winning lots, even if you receive a notification and your lot will go to the second winner.

At the end of the auction, successful bidders will be notified automatically via email immediately following the conclusion of an auction by the system. Winning bidder should send to GSO Property section via DjiboutiAuction@state.gov their ID card information or passport, so that an access request can be made for the payment to the U.S. Embassy of Djibouti cashier.
