The U.S. Embassy Algiers sells property no longer needed by the Embassy, which includes used furniture, IT equipment, supplies and other goods via a Web-Based Electronic Auction (FRENCH: https://online-auction.state.gov/fr-FR ; ENGLISH: https://online-auction.state.gov/; ARABIC: https://online-auction.state.gov/ar-SA).  This website hosts auctions at U.S. Embassies all over the world, so bidders should take care to only bid on auctions they, or their appointed representative, can physically access.  Users who want to access the U.S. Embassy Algiers auction must register at the website and click on Algiers.

All bidders must register at the site and send a copy of their national ID, driver license or passport biopage to Algiers_auction@state.gov from the same email used to register minimum 24-hours prior to the beginning of the Auction. If a participant create more than one address email he/she is automatically blocked and his/her accounts are suspended and he/she cannot participate anymore to our auctions.

All property is sold “AS IS” and there is no guarantee that the item is working or without damage.  There will be no refunds after the items are sold.  If you make a mistake or have some difficulties during the auction period, please contact Algiers_auction@state.gov

You may bid on lots 24 hours a day throughout this period.  All bidding will be done in Algerian Dinar (DZ).  Your last bid will be your active bid.  At the close of the auction the highest bid on each lot wins that lot.  The Embassy reserves the right to end the auction prior to the scheduled end date or cancel it completely.

If the winner with the highest bid fails to pay the bidder will be ineligible to participate in any future U.S. Embassy auctions.

After the auction concludes, you will receive an email from  Algiers_auction@state.gov with detailed instructions on how to pay and pick up the lots that you won.  In the email will be a link to the auction website where you can review the lots that you won.

Questions should be directed to Algiers_auction@state.gov

How to pay for your items

Payment for your winning lots must be made in DZ cash.  You should come to the Service Entrance at the U.S. Embassy compound located on 12 Chemin Petit Hydra (next to the Sonatrach swimming pool entrance) with a valid picture ID to make payment.  Instructions on when to come to the Embassy will be sent to you via email after the auction.  The Embassy reserves the right to require payment and pick up within three days of notification of your winning bid.

Winners who fail to pay for the lots they won will be ineligible to participate in any future U.S. Embassy auctions in Algiers.

How to pick-up your items

After confirmation of payment, the Embassy escort will bring you to your winning lots for pick-up.  Please have a vehicle and enough assistance so you can safely load and transport the items.  Anyone who wins large or multiple lots and needs to make special pick-up arrangements should notify auction personnel prior to pick up.  The Embassy reserves the right to dispose of any items not picked up within three days of notification.
