The U.S. Consulate in Erbil is selling used generators and fuel tanks via a Web Based Electronic Auction. The auction will be activated for a period of time clearly stating the start and end date. Details about the dates of the auction are available on the information panel of the web application. Once the auction goes “Live”, you can actively take part and submit your bid for the surplus property.
The U.S. Consulate General in Erbil sells these items “AS IS” and "WHERE THEY ARE” for cash payment, without refund or warranty. The U.S. Consulate in Erbil shall not be responsible for these generators and fuel tanks conditions nor its use after purchased by winning bidder. No claims will be accepted. No remedy will be offered. No refunds.
In order to bid on the Consulate online auctions, you must first be registered in the system. You may register with a personal email. Bids are only in the local currency which is the Iraqi Dinar (IQD), Successful bidders will be notified via email immediately following the conclusion of an auction. Email for winners will consist of link to the auction application where you can review your items, after successful login.
The U.S. Consulate General in Erbil reserves the right to remove any items from the sale at any point of time.
Payment Method: Payment will be accepted in cash only.
Payment location: Payments must be made at the U.S. Consulate General Erbil finance office.
Appointment and Confirmation: Payment should be made within 48 hours of receiving the Winning Bid notification, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to schedule an appointment in order to access the compound.
The winning bidder must pick up the items after closure of the auction and after fully paid for all his/her lots. The exact location will be sent to winning bidders. If declined or not picked up the lots within 72 hours of making the payment, the lot will be going to the second highest bidder.
In order to pick up the items, the winning bidders must send a copy of valid ID copy of the personnel visiting and complete vehicle information (make, model, color, license plate number) at least 24 hours before the pick-up date and time.
The person picking up the items must present the original receipt of the payment confirmation that the payment is confirmed and complete.
After successful confirmation, the winners will be contacted, and a date will be scheduled for picking up time and location.
The winning bidder will be responsible for loading, removing, and transporting to take the items out of U.S General Consulate Erbil. All sales are final on a “as is/where it is” basis. Purchased items cannot be returned nor payments refunded. You must coordinate with GSO Property for the necessary access to the compound.
