Embassy online auctions are conducted exclusively online. Unless stated under the specific item description, there will be no site visit or in-person viewing opportunity for any of these items.

The auction is open to the general public, however employees, family members, and business associates of embassy personnel directly involved in the property management and disposal process are not eligible to participate in this auction.

The U.S. Embassy has the right to reject any bids without explanation.

Bidders are responsible for any additional charges, such as taxes or custom duties, which may be assessed by the Government of Egypt.

Successful bidders must pay for all winning lots and lot selection is not permitted. Take all lots or none. If you fail to pay the bid amount, you will be excluded from consideration for all other lots you may have bid on and be excluded from participating in future embassy auctions.

Bid prices are to be stated in Egyptian Pounds.

All sales are final, no returns, no refunds.

All items and materials are sold “AS IS,” “WHERE IS” and “WITH ALL FAULTS” and all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, usage or suitability or fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed.

How to pay for your items

Payment for all winning lots must be made in-person in cash at only one approved CIB location: Zahraa El-Maadi Branch, 8 Zahraa El Maadi St.

You will receive an email if you won any lots the evening the auction ends.

You must show up the next day at the embassy disposal area at Zahraa el Maadi before 3 PM to collect the payment slip. If you fail to appear by 3 PM the day after the auction ends, we will move to the next bidder and you will be banned from participation in future auctions.
