Please read the terms and conditions carefully
The U.S. Embassy in Bucharest periodically organizes online auctions of surplus property belonging to the U.S. Government. These may include: furniture, household appliances, IT equipment, household and kitchen items, office supplies, and vehicles.
Each auction will be active for a specified period of time with clearly indicated start and end dates.
Items offered for sale are sold "as is" and "where is." They cannot be refunded, exchanged, or returned once they have been picked up.
If the winners do not make payment for the lot(s) won within the terms specified in the announcement, the U.S. Embassy reserves the right to refuse any other lower offer.
Payment for goods is made only in local currency (RON) to the account: RO49CITI0000000120055143, without the possibility of refund or warranty.
The U.S. Embassy reserves the right to reject any offer that is deemed inconsistent with the value of the item.
Prices of items offered for sale cannot be negotiated before, during, or after the auction closes.
In the case of vehicles, all local and customs taxes are paid by the buyer before they can pick up the item won.
The buyer is responsible for all arrangements and costs necessary for transportation of the items won after they leave the Embassy premises.
If an item that has been won and paid for has not been picked up by the winner on the days announced on the site for pickup, it will be considered abandoned and will be discarded.
The Embassy has the right to withdraw lot(s) at any time during the auction until its closure.
