How it works

The U.S. Embassies are selling surplus movable property (SMP) via a Web Based Electronic Auction. Each auction will be activated for a period of time clearly stating the start and end date. This information is available on the information panel of the web application. Usually it will be active from Monday to Friday lasting two weeks. During this period you can actively take part and submit your bid for the surplus property. 

Maximum number of bids on one item is stated at each item. Increasing your bids is possible only in the local currency name. During the auction you should monitor your bids so you can react on all bids price development. 

Email for winners will consist link to the auction application where you can review your items, after successful login. 

How to pay for your items

Payment Terms

1.     All auction prices shall be denominated in Nuevos Soles (S/), payment must be made exclusively via bank transfer in Peruvian Soles (PEN) on the date of transaction.

2.     Winning Bidders shall be notified via their registered email address with detailed payment instructions on the business day following the closure of the auction.

3.     No payments shall be made without prior written confirmation and explicit instructions from an authorized representative of the Embassy. Payments made without such confirmation shall be considered void, and no claims shall be entertained.

4.     Proof of payment, including a valid bank transfer receipt, must be submitted via email before the awarded lot(s) can be collected. Failure to provide proof of payment shall result in the forfeiture of the awarded lot(s).

5.     The Winning Bidder shall remit full payment within a maximum period of twenty-four (24) hours from the time of notification of the award. Failure to do so shall result in the immediate cancellation of all bids submitted by the Bidder for the respective lot(s), and the Embassy reserves the right to offer the lot(s) to the next highest Bidder or withdraw them from the auction entirely.

6.     If a Winning Bidder refuses to accept or collect an awarded lot, they shall be barred from participating in future Embassy auctions for a period of twelve (12) months.

How to pick-up your items

Collection and Removal of Property

1.     The collection dates displayed on the auction website shall be considered tentative and subject to modification at the sole discretion of the Embassy. Any changes shall be communicated to the Winning Bidders in due course.

2.     Upon verification of payment, the Winning Bidder shall receive an email with the exact date, time, and location for the collection of the awarded lot(s).

3.     The Embassy shall make the lot(s) available for collection only at the designated loading area. The Bidder shall be fully responsible for the loading, transportation, and removal of the items from the premises. Under no circumstances shall the Embassy provide assistance in handling, loading, or transporting the purchased property.

4.     In the event that the Winning Bidder is unable to collect the awarded lot(s) in person, an authorized representative may do so upon submission of a legally notarized power of attorney and prior written confirmation from the Embassy.

5.     The Winning Bidder, their representatives, and/or any assistants involved in the collection of the lot(s) shall be required to wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to a safety helmet, safety boots, and protective gloves, as well as any additional safety equipment specified in the coordination email. Access to the collection site shall be strictly prohibited for individuals who fail to comply with this requirement.

6.     The Winning Bidder must collect all awarded lot(s) as scheduled. Partial collections shall not be permitted. Failure to collect the lot(s) within the designated time frame may result in forfeiture of the purchase, without refund or recourse.

7.     The Winning Bidder and their representatives shall adhere to all security protocols and conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the regulations of the Embassy. Any accident, injury, or damage resulting from the negligence, misconduct, or unsafe actions of the Winning Bidder or their companions shall be the sole responsibility of the Winning Bidder. The Embassy shall not be held liable for any incidents occurring during the collection and removal process.
