How it Works
The U.S. Embassy is selling surplus movable property (SMP) via a Web Based Electronic Auction. The auction will be active from 01 April 2026 at 09:00 AM through 15 April 2026 at 12:00 PM, during which you may submit bids for available surplus property. Registering and creating a personal account is required to submit a bid. Bids must be submitted in Euros.
Winning bidders will receive email confirmation once the auction has closed, further detailing electronic payment instructions and collection procedures.
All Auction items are considered "Sold as-is" and cannot be returned or refunded.
For all other auction-related questions, please email TheHagueGSOWarehouse@state.gov.
Payment Instructions:
Payment must be received within five business days upon receipt of the winning bid email. All payments must be in by 24 April 2026. Please send proof of payment confirmation with the corresponding lot number(s) to TheHagueCashier@state.gov. Once the Embassy Cashier has confirmed payment, items can be picked up. The Warehouse will inform you when this is completed and provide date/time slots for pickup.
Payment in USD is only available to individuals/entities located outside the European Union, where EURO payments are not possible. As bids are made in EURO, the cashier determines the exchange rate with which the winning EURO bids are converted to USD at the time USD payment guidance is obtained.
We will verify payments only on Wednesday & Friday at 12:00 – after verification of payment we will schedule your appointment.
For questions regarding payments, please email to TheHagueCashier@state.gov.
