How it works
The U.S. Embassies are selling surplus movable property (SMP) via a Web Based Electronic Auction. Each auction will be activated for a period of time clearly stating the start and end date. This information is available on the information panel of the web application. During this period, you can actively take part and submit your bid for the surplus property.
Maximum number of bids on one item is stated at each item. Increasing your bids is possible only in the local currency name. During the auction you should monitor your bids so you can react on all bids price development.
Email for winners will consist of link to the auction application where you can review your items, after successful login.
Auction Operating Guidelines:
* The Consulate will only consider bids submitted during the designated auction period.
* Once winners have been identified, they will be informed via email of the payment owed, the due date, and the methods of paying for and picking up their selected items.
* Payments should be made in pesos at BANAMEX on the designated date.
* Pick-up of winning items from the Consulate warehouse must be arranged by the winning bidders at their own expense.
Your payment may be made at the Banamex branch of your choice or via electronic transfer, but only on the designated date. Please do not make any payment on a different date
Pickup
To retrieve your items, you must present either the original receipt of the
bank deposit—including all required payment details as outlined above—or a
printed copy of the online banking transfer confirmation.
Items that have been paid for but are not picked
up within the scheduled timeframe will be considered abandoned and disposed of.
No retrieval will be possible afterward. In exceptional cases, you may contact
the auction manager to request an alternative pickup date and time.
Once your payment has been successfully
confirmed, our staff will move your items to the front of the storage building.
At that point, ownership of the items transfers to you, and you assume full
responsibility for their handling and prompt removal from Embassy property.
Failure to do so may result in the items being deemed abandoned and disposed of
accordingly.
